Participants will be given an overview of trauma, it’s causes and impacts, and potential risks to interpreters. There will be a second focus on issues for interpreters when working with domestic violence survivors. Through the use of vignettes and discussion, participants will have the opportunity to recognize signs of vicarious trauma, learn self-monitoring strategies, track stress level, and develop coping tools.
