Quarantine Hobbies: Learning Languages

What Quarantine Hobbies have you acquired so far?

Personally, I only tried painting the one time. Otherwise, it's pretty much been business as usual for me! Haha!

So what have you picked up? Knitting? Whittling? Gardening? Cooking? Jam making? Origami? Writing? Sewing clothes? DIY-ing?

SHARE WITH US a pic of you and your Quarantine Hobby!

If you've been taking this time to learn a new language, you are not alone! HIS Sign's owner, Christina, has been using Duolingo since December to learn Spanish and is getting quite good at it!In addition to Spanish they have, French, Dutch, German, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, and more! They even have High Valyrian!

I checked out the website and I think I might try my hand at Russian!

A Little Inspiration...

This is a difficult time for all of us. Having to stay inside (for the most part) is difficult even for a hard-core introvert like myself.
Here is some heartwarming inspiration from the cast of Dear Evan Hansen during James Corden’s special the other night.

How are you doing with the shelter-in-place order? What are you doing to keep yourself occupied?

Blow Us All Away

The Kennedy Center Presents…

The Kennedy Center Presents, “Hamilton”, at the Opera House in Washington, DC.

An American Musical is a sung-and-rapped through musical about the life of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, with music, lyrics and book by Lin-Manuel Miranda, inspired by the 2004 biography Alexander Hamilton by historian Ron Chernow.

As you may recall from a previous post, I recently saw “Hamilton” and was floored by how well done it was! The music, the staging, the ensemble, every single actor, the costumes, the set, the entire show blew me away. I was skeptical going into it because of all of the hype that has surrounded the show form the very beginning, but it exceeded even the hype! I wholeheartedly recommend.

The Captioned performances are Friday, June 26, 2020 at 7:30pm; Sunday, July 5, 2020 at 1:30pm; Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 1:30pm; and Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 7:30pm

The Sign-Interpreted performances are Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 7:30pm; Friday, July 3, 2020 at 7:30pm; Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 7:30pm; and Friday, September 11, 2020 at 7:30pm
