A Message from DC Deaf Moviegoers to DC Deaf moviegoers,
Regal Gallery Place's plan to show more OC screenings without the need for DC Deaf Moviegoers to request them has been postponed to July 12th.
As part of this, they are canceling the OC screenings that we did not request. However, the ones we requested, listed below, are still taking place. If you already bought a ticket to an OC screening that is no longer listed, we encourage you to get reimbursed, by getting a refund and also vouchers to make up for that inconvenience.
Last we checked, the additional OC screenings are still listed as OC on Fandango and Regal websites. We do not know when those will be updated and can only pass on what we've been told.
We apologize for the confusion. We originally got confirmation that this was truly happening, and we dislike sharing last-minute changes that deprive deaf moviegoers of accessible options. We will be in contact with the theater to see what they will do for the weekend of July 12th.
Our original requests that will still remain open captioned are the following:
Friday, June 21, 8:35 PM
Men In Black International
Saturday, June 22, 2:00 PM
Toy Story 4
Saturday, June 22, 8:15 PM
Late Night
Sunday, June 23, 5:25 PM
Dark Phoenix
Thanks,
Erik Nordlof of DC Deaf Moviegoers
